Protein Principles for Fitness Pros: From Amino Acids to Actionable Meals

accent-image

Protein is central to performance, recovery, and long‑term health—but the details can be confusing. This one‑hour webinar will equip certified personal trainers and fitness professionals with a rigorous yet practical understanding of protein by combining clear science with actionable tools you can immediately use with clients. The first half provides foundational science: defining protein and amino acids, clarifying essential vs. non‑essential amino acids, and providing an overview on how muscle breakdown and nutrition intersect to influence training outcomes.  The second half turns evidence into action: how much protein clients may need across the lifespan and activity continuum, how to evaluate protein quality from a label, ways to combine plant proteins for completeness, and smart timing at meals and around workouts.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand the role amino acids and protein play within the body
  • Learn the drivers of muscle protein turnover
  • Learn how the science turns into practical recommendations including protein quantity and timing recommendations for different populations
  • Gain an understanding of why protein quality is important and how to assess it
Key Topics Covered
  • Science and practical applications of protein for fitness professionals.
  • Protein types, muscle metabolism, and nutrition strategies.
  • How to assess protein quality and optimize intake for diverse clients.
